For smoothing wrinkles, sculpting lips, and improving other facial features, Restylane injections are a growing favorite. Approved by the FDA in December 2003, Restylane can produce positive results on facial wrinkles, particularly around the mouth and nose. Another benefit is the long-lasting results, as the effects of Restylane treatments can last six months or more.
How does Restylane work?
Restylane works immediately by adding volume to smooth away wrinkles. A clear gel formulation of hyaluronic acid, Restylane is specifically formulated to act like your body's own hyaluronic acid, and eventually breaks down naturally.
Who's a good candidate?
Restylane injections are typically administered to our clients aged 35 to 60, but anyone who is concerned with lines or wrinkles around the mouth make for a good candidate.
What to Expect During Restylane Procedure
It is most often performed with local anesthesia, especially if the lip is being treated. However, the new generation of Restylane contains lidocaine, and our clients may experience little or no pain from the needle during injection. Depending upon the extent of the treatment, the procedure can take from a few minutes or up to 30 minutes, and you will be able to return home shortly after the procedure.
What are the most common side effects?
After treatment, you might have some swelling, redness, pain, bruising, or tenderness. These are typically mild in severity and normally last less than 7 days in nasolabial folds and less than 14 days in lips. Swelling may be more likely in patients under 36 years, and bruising may be more likely in patients over 35 years.
When will I see results with Restylane?
Restylane results are fully evident within one week. Restylane treatments reduce wrinkles by about 80 percent. Restylane has a success rate for reducing or eliminating deep wrinkles that cannot be accomplished with other procedures such as chemical peels or microdermabrasion. Post treatment swelling may be pronounced, lasting for two or three days. Normal activities can be resumed immediately, though clients are advised to stay out of the sun. Restylane is a temporary solution and follow-up treatments may be needed.

What Is Restylane Lyft?
As we age and our faces lose volume, some of us begin to look for ways to regain more definition in our cheeks without surgery. Restylane Lyft, formerly known as Perlane-L®, is an injectable hyaluronic acid gel used to correct volume loss and treat wrinkles in the face.
Restylane Lyft is the first and only FDA-approved filler indicated to provide lift to cheeks and add volume to correct and smooth smile lines (nasolabial folds).
How does Restylane Lyft Work?
Over time, the natural fat that surrounds the cheeks begins to deteriorate, resulting in sagging skin, more prominent wrinkles and a reduction of volume. Through nonsurgical injections, Restylane Lyft is specifically designed to add fullness to the cheeks and midface area, which can result in a more natural-looking, youthful appearance.

What Is Restylane Silk?
The lips and the lines around the mouth, like other areas of the face, show signs of aging as you get older. This often results in lip thinning, lost shape and an increase in vertical lines above the lip. Restylane Silk is designed specifically to provide natural-looking results in these particular areas by using smaller, smoother hyaluronic acid particles than those used in other Restylane® products.
Where Does Restylane Silk Work?
Defined "Cupid's Bow"
The "cupid's bow" of the upper lip is most attractive when it is well defined and when the two sides look the same.
Fullness In The Center
Lips look most beautiful when the fullness in the center tapers off at the corners.
From one side to the other, lips should be symmetrical for a pleasing appearance.
Projection On Profile
When viewed from the side, the upper lip should project slightly beyond the lower lip.
Lips To Eyes Relationship
A line drawn upward from the corner of the lips should hit the midpoint of the pupil of the eye.
